We’re here to help!
What is ultrafiltered milk?
Ultrafiltered milk is real milk that passes through specialized filters with extremely small pores to separate the milk components. This process is called ultrafiltration and is what makes Joyya ultrafiltered milk protein-rich.
Where does Joyya
ultrafiltered milk's “extra” protein come from?
The ultrafiltration process concentrates larger milk components such as protein. No powdered protein or supplements need to be added to Joyya ultrafiltered milk!
How do the protein levels of Joyya
ultrafiltered milks compare to other dairy products?
Joyya ultrafiltered milks contain more protein per 250 ml serving than regular milk. This is comparable to the levels of protein you would get from a serving of 175 g Greek yogurt or 125 g serving cottage cheese.
Why is protein important to my diet and how much should I be consuming?
Protein helps build and repair body tissues, antibodies and of course, it helps build strong muscles. Joyya ultrafiltered milk recognizes that protein is a vital part of a healthy diet and Joyya ultrafiltered milks are an excellent source of protein! For every kilogram of body weight, you should consume 0.8 grams of protein per day. For example, if you weigh 90 kg (198 lbs) you should consume 72g of protein to meet your daily needs.
How do you remove the lactose (sugar)?
Although lactose (a type of sugar) is naturally occurring in cow’s milk, the ultrafiltration process allows us to separate some of the lactose from the milk you drink. So more of what you want and less of what you don’t want. Talk about a win-win!
ultrafiltered milks gluten-free?
They sure are! Because the plain Joyya ultrafiltered milks are made from real milk, they are naturally free of gluten, like all types of plain cow’s milk.
ultrafiltered milks produced in a nut-free environment?
We are pleased to report that nuts (including peanuts) are not permitted within the processing areas of our production facility!
ultrafiltered milks contain any artificial colours or flavours?
No artificial colours or flavours are in any of the Joyya ultrafiltered milks, including our chocolate dairy beverage.
How do I keep Joyya
utrafiltered milks' great taste?

Joyya ultrafiltered milks (like all opened milk products including canned and UHT milk) are perishable and must be refrigerated. Be sure to check the best before date; products are at their peak quality before this date.

Why do Joyya
ultrafiltered milks come in a bottle?
We want you to enjoy our great tasting ultrafiltered milk whenever you feel like it and our bottle helps keep it tasting fresher longer by providing enhanced preservation and food safety features such as the tamper proof twist cap. We also think you'll love the ergonomic design that makes it easy for everyone in the family to grab a bottle of Joyya ultrafiltered milk and pour a fresh glass of milk.
Can I recycle the bottle?
Yes! The bottle for Joyya ultrafiltered milk is recyclable where facilities exist.
What is the bottle made of?
The Joyya ultrafiltered milk bottle is made of certified BPA-free white PET.
What does the best before date mean?
The best before date tells you how long an unopened bottle of Joyya ultrafiltered milk will be at its best quality. To maintain their fresh taste and nutrient content, Joyya ultrafiltered milks must be stored in unopened, refrigerated bottles that have been kept between 1° and 4° Celsius.
How do Joyya
ultrafiltered milks last so long without going bad?
Joyya ultrafiltered milk's prolonged shelf life is actually the result of two processes. First we use ultra-high temperature processing, also known as UHT pasteurization. We sterilize the milk by heating it above 135°C (275°F). When the milk reaches this temperature, the bacteria are killed. Once the milk has been pasteurized we then put it into aseptic bottles. These bottles allow Joyya ultrafiltered milk to keep that great taste, while staying fresh and lasting longer.
Why do you suggest drinking Joyya
ultrafiltered milks within 14 days of opening?
We want you to enjoy Joyya ultrafiltered milks at their peak quality, so drink Joyya ultrafiltered milk within 14 days of opening to enjoy the best, fresh taste.
Where are Joyya
ultrafiltered milks made?
Joyya ultrafiltered milks are produced in Quebec with milk exclusively sourced from Canadian dairy farms. We put Joyya ultrafiltered milk through the ultrafiltration process in order to concentrate the naturally occurring nutrients in milk. So raise a glass to our Canadian cows!
